Step 1
For your company with fewer than 250 vehicles
Standard renewal time is based on the following:
- If vehicle is less than 5000 pounds and vehicle is in the company’s name; standard renewal is in June.
- If vehicle is less than 5000 pounds and vehicle is in the owner’s name; standard renewal is in owner’s birth month.
- If vehicle is greater than 5000 pounds; standard renewal is in December.
- If the vehicle is leased; the above criteria applies.
Step 2
Copy your vehicle registration and insurance
Make a photocopy of your vehicle registration and proof of insurance, OR have your official registration renewal notice from your county.
Step 3
Determine your fees
Purchase your plate now for a fee of $45.10; or purchase your plate during your annual renewal period and add $37 to your standard renewal fees.
Step 4
Send in your payment
Mail the following items to your local tax collector (click here for county offices):
- Copy of your vehicle registration and proof of insurance; or your official registration renewal notice
- Your check
- Family First Specialty License Plate insert (print this page and cut the following insert)
