Chairman of the Board Cary Gaylord and his wife, Ann, have served on the Family First Board of Directors since 1993. Cary is also a founding partner of Gaylord, Merlin, Ludovici & Diaz, a Tampa law firm. Cary and Ann attend Idlewild Baptist Church. They have two children and five grandchildren.

Chad and Bridgette joined the Family First Board of Directors in March 2020. Chad is the President of Cahill Homes in Winter Park, Florida. They attend Lake Baldwin Church and are the happy parents of two young children.

Michael and Becki Carmichael have served on the Family First Board of Directors since 1993. Dr. Carmichael is a professor of Cardiovascular Surgery and was recently asked by both the program he founded in Ocala and the program at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, to come back and rejuvenate their programs. He has been selected as the recipient of the Indiana Wesleyan University’s 2022 World Changers Award. Michael and Becki have six children and ten grandchildren.

Mark has served on the Family First Board of Directors since 1991. Mark also serves as the president of Family First and his wife, Susan, serves as the Chief Marketing and Program Officer. Mark and Susan attend Radiant Church and have five children and one grandchild.

Mark and Christina have served on the Family First Board of Directors since 2017. Mark is principal and portfolio manager of Luther King Capital Management in Fort Worth, Texas. Mark and Christina attend Christ Chapel Bible Church and have three children.

Porter and Susan Smith have served on the Family First Board of Directors since 2020. Porter is the Tampa Bay Market President of American Momentum Bank. They attend Radiant Church and have two sons.

Drew is a Partner at Weatherford Capital, and primarily responsible for deal sourcing, investor relations, and providing value-added services to their portfolio companies. Drew and Morgan joined the Family First Board of Directors in 2021. They reside in Tampa and have four young children. The Weatherford family attends Grace Family Church.
